Nas is back from Austria! OK is back from Toronto and the WRATH autonomous zone! And these freaks are WORN OUT, but ready to gab up a storm about democrats, demon rats, democracy, the cops, and strategies. It’s really sick and gross to watch public institutions and services collapse. It’s disgusting to watch the pigs and other genocidal forces rake in our money. Doesn’t it make you wanna start slashing tires in a video game??

Welcome to the Garden of Theory and Praxis, the Graveyard of the Vibes, the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth, it’s Art and Labor! Joined by champions of the pod David Turner of Penny Fractions and Liz Ryerson of The Blood Zone, we reckon with teleology and how it occupies space (almost…as if…it were…a body??), learn a little about how the music and games industries are dealing with the nightmare of NFTs being forced down our throats as the new financial model (watch this space for the Art and Labor stolen jpeg of the Campbell’s soup can, but don’t worry we’re only doing it ironically), and round table on the new Matrix, mostly guided by the reactionary we haven’t killed in our head yet.
Warning for live human shit, sexual trauma, suicide, anger, and misery. We had a night on the town to see the new off Broadway production “while you were partying” by Peter Mills Weiss and Julia Mounsey with Brian Fiddyment at Soho Rep! Its a fantastic new play for the irony poisoned, N64 modding, suicidal incel poster psyche of many an “ordinary American” cursed by the internet age. As usual, the NYtimes has no idea what’s going on, but fret not dear reader, we’re just the floating voices that do, and that’s the art and labor promise! Poem, prayer, meme: you decide.
We got Darcie and OK checking in on Lucia and Vinnie in BRAZIL! Ya know, with the good Amazon (for now). We thank Lucia for hexing Bolsonaro, and pray this is “the one” so she can join the big celebration! Hear all about Lucia’s trip so far: food, art, stray dogs, tanks, etc. It’s fun to vicariously live through someone braving international travel rn!! Then we talk about big corps/brands. Is it possible to boycott a Pepsico or Nestle or Amazon (bad one) as their tendrils continue to branch and mutate? Support the Frito-Lay workers strike fund either way!!! OK and Sarah slightly lose it this week talking to their guru at the top of the mountain, possible legend, and internet auteur Topher Florence aka Docfuture1. Actually coming from Something Awful in the early 2000s, Topher’s work as a writer and video artist cut to the bone, and present a highly informed perspective of fandom, cringe culture, anonymous cruelty aka the “caldron of suburban internet”. Why did Disney buy Marvel? Why has isekai taken off in the past decade? Why do we still differentiate between high and low culture, even though we know better? An episode for the Real Ones and a desperate attempt by OK to history-build a hagiography in order to justify all this other shit we do. We’re starting a cult for if you ever wanted to be your own boss, set your own hours, and huff paint while flashbacking to Gooey Gus. Get in on the ground floor if you’re ready to change your life!
